Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education is required; higher degree preferred
• Georgia Leadership Certification in Educational Leadership is required or eligible
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in education as a classroom teacher, counselor, instructional coach or other certified position

Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal in designing, implementing, and monitoring high-quality instructional programs aligned with district goals and standards
• Support teachers through classroom observations, coaching, and feedback to enhance instructional practice
• Analyze assessment data to identify trends and guide instructional planning and intervention
• Promote professional learning that supports innovation, instructional excellence, and student engagement
• Foster a safe, supportive, and positive school culture where students and staff feel valued and respected
• Lead restorative practices, PBIS, and social-emotional learning initiatives
• Build partnerships with families and community stakeholders to enhance the school experience
• Support daily school operations, including supervision of facilities, transportation, and safety procedures
• Assist in organizing student registration, scheduling, and testing programs
• Coordinate student discipline in alignment with district policy, ensuring fairness and due process
• Maintain accurate records and comply with reporting requirements
• Assist in recruiting, mentoring, evaluating, and developing school personnel
• Contribute to a strong professional learning community focused on collaboration and accountability
• Model ethical leadership in line with Georgia Code of Ethics for Educators
• Serve as acting Principal in the Principal's absence
• Represent the Principal and school at district meetings and community events
• Perform other duties as assigned by Principal or Superintendent
