Strong leadership, collaboration with staff, and program implementation are essential. The candidate will supervise behavior management, attendance initiatives, and disciplinary processes while coordinating with the ROE and district teams.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Professional Educator with Principal or General Administrative endorsement.
• Master's degree in Educational Administration.
• At least 5 years teaching experience with prior administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Takes initiative with the principal to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Collaborates with faculty and staff to support student work and address issues.
• Implements a school-wide behavior management system with clear consequences.
• Provides leadership for attendance improvement efforts.
• Monitors attendance and communicates with students/parents about absences.
• Communicates with ROE about truancy and participates in meetings to improve attendance.
• Monitors tardies and informs students about chronic tardiness.
• Coordinates student detentions, in-school and out-of-school suspensions.
• Assists in supervision of extracurricular activities and student lunches.
• Evaluates certified staff as assigned by the principal.
• Maintains building presence to promote positive behavior.
• Serves on the middle school Building Leadership Team and District Administrative Team.
• Revises the Student Handbook annually and maintains the Crisis Management Plan.
• Organizes safety drills and assists with standardized testing.
• Implements surveys such as the 5Essentials and participates in conferences.
• Participates in faculty meetings and School Improvement meetings.
• Supervises after-school events and 8th grade promotion.
• Prepares administrative reports and assumes principal duties in absence.
• Assumes other duties as assigned by the principal.
