Qualifications

• Certification/License: Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Administrative Certificate: General Administrative.
• Education: Masters Degree.
• Experience: At least 5 years experience as a classroom teacher.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development and administration of school programs aligned with district goals.
• Provides leadership and direction to staff for evaluation and improvement of educational programs.
• Promotes a safe school environment conducive to individualized instruction and student learning.
• Assists in ensuring Board policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
• Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments.
• Encourages staff to grow professionally and experiment with new teaching approaches.
• Coordinating work of staff to develop and implement instructional programs and teaching practices.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and adapts methods to fit diverse needs.
• Assists in recruitment, personnel files, collective bargaining, and HR matters.
• Involves staff in evaluation of programs and planning of new ones.
• Encourages parental involvement and communicates effectively with students and parents.
• Ensures student conduct and attendance meet school standards and policies.
• Supervises and evaluates staff per the district evaluation plan and recommends outcomes.
• Assists in budgetary and financial affairs per district policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
