The Growing Years in Clayton, NC is seeking Assistant Teachers to support Preschool and Pre-K age groups. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma plus early childhood education credentials or 6 credits in ECE, with the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Completion of early childhood education credentials or 6 credits in ECE courses or equivalent.
• Ability to pass all background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all classroom aspects in alignment with the center's philosophy and goals.
• Implement activities that support children's emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive feedback, and improve the program accordingly.
• Create and maintain a clean, safe environment for all children.
• Establish a professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Must be physically able to work around small children and lift up to 40 lbs.
