Job summary

Springview Academy is seeking Assistant Teachers for our Pre-K classroom in Mt. Pleasant. The role supports the lead teacher and contributes to a caring, structured program aligned with our child-centered philosophy.

Assistant Teachers for our Pre-K classroom!

Springview Academy of Mt. Pleasant is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers for our Pre-K classroom! To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, the ability to pass all background checks, and prefer a minimum of 30 days of experience working in licensed childcare facility.

Required Shift:

Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 6:00pm

Compensation:

$15 - $16 per hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
