Job summary

Springview Academy of Summervillle is hiring Childcare Assistant Teachers to support the lead teacher and help create a warm, safe classroom aligned with our center's philosophy.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, can pass background checks, and bring a positive, patient approach to daily activities, play, and learning with young children.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass all background checks.
• Prefer at least 30 days of experience in a licensed childcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all classroom aspects.
• Implement activities that support emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept feedback, and improve the program quality.
• Create and maintain a clean and safe classroom environment.
• Establish a professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Perform physical tasks around young children including lifting up to 40 lbs.

Springview Academy of Summervillle is a licensed childcare center seeking Childcare Assistant Teachers!

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, the ability to pass all background checks, and prefer a minimum of 30 days of experience working in licensed childcare facility.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 6:00pm

Compensation: $14 - $15 per hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
