Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for active heavy civil and highway projects in the Richmond, VA area. You’ll join a senior PM, handle submittals, RFIs, procurement tracking, quantity and cost monitoring, and participate in weekly meetings.

This role offers a clear path to running projects, a competitive base salary of $110,000–$145,000, strong benefits including health and 401(k), and a work environment built on long-standing family ownership and Virginia infrastructure

Qualifications

• 3–10 years on heavy civil, highway, or utility projects (field engineer, project engineer, or current APM)
• Knowledge of construction scheduling and cost tracking;HeavyJob/Bluebeam/P6 exposure a plus
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field experience
• Valid driver’s license; travel is primarily local

Responsibilities

• Drive submittals, RFIs, and procurement schedules to keep field crews ahead of work
• Coordinate subcontractors and supplier purchase orders to protect schedule
• Track quantities, production, and costs against budget and flag variances
• Support monthly payment requisitions, cost projections, and project documentation
• Attend weekly project team meetings covering schedule and cost review
• Support a safety culture across the project team
