Job summary

Livingston Associates in Rochester, NY is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a portfolio of electrical projects. You will help quote and plan projects, procure materials, schedule crews, and manage delivery to meet safety and quality standards while fostering strong client relationships.

Responsibilities include bid preparation, vendor coordination, material takeoffs, RFIs, reporting, and ensuring projects align with timelines.

Qualifications

• Construction knowledge required; electrical construction knowledge preferred.
• 2–5 years of project management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with construction documentation (contracts, drawings, specifications).

Responsibilities

• Assist bidding: attend pre-bid meetings and coordinate with vendors.
• Prepare project estimates and bids; complete material takeoffs; process RFIs.
• Plan and schedule work; coordinate material, machinery, and tools.
• Manage safety plans with corporate Safety department.
• Oversee apprenticeship and employee development programs.
• Prepare reports and maintain client relationships.
