Job summary

EEI is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support commissioning and building performance projects across healthcare, data centers, laboratories, and universities. You will coordinate schedules, assist with testing, documentation, and client communication while learning from experienced project managers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or related field.
• 2+ years in commissioning, project management, or high-reliability environments.
• Knowledge of MEP, BAS, control systems, and building performance fundamentals.
• Experience with schedule management, budgeting, client coordination, documentation, and risk.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution activities for commissioning and building performance projects.
• Assist with system startup, inspections, functional testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning reports, test procedures, deficiency logs, project records, and client deliverables.
• Build strong working relationships with owners, contractors, engineers, vendors, and project stakeholders; support effective communication.
• Identify, document, and resolve project issues while ensuring systems meet requirements and quality standards.
• Assist with schedule management, meeting coordination, proposal support, change management, risk identification, and project tracking.
• Continuously develop knowledge of building systems, commissioning processes, and industry standards.
