Job summary

Engineering Economics, Inc. (EEI) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support commissioning and building performance projects across healthcare, data centers, laboratories, universities, and other complex environments.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, contractors, and owners to ensure systems perform as intended while delivering safe, efficient, and reliable building operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in commissioning, project management, building systems, controls, construction, healthcare, laboratory, mission‑critical, or other high‑reliability environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and project collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Project Coordination: Support planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of commissioning and building performance projects.
• Commissioning Support: Assist with system startup, inspections, functional testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification for MEP systems.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain commissioning reports, test procedures, deficiency logs, project records, and client deliverables.
• Client & Team Collaboration: Build relationships with owners, contractors, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders; ensure effective communication.
• Problem Solving & Quality Assurance: Identify and resolve project issues; ensure systems meet requirements and quality standards.
• Project Management Support: Assist with schedule management, meetings, proposals, change management, risk identification, and tracking.
• Professional Growth: Develop knowledge of building systems, commissioning processes, and industry standards.
