Job summary

EEI is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support commissioning and building performance projects for healthcare, data centers, labs, and universities. You will assist with planning, testing, documentation, scheduling, and client communication while learning from experienced PMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in commissioning, project management, building systems, controls, healthcare, or other high‑reliability environments.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, BAS, control systems, and building performance fundamentals.
• Experience supporting project delivery activities including schedule management, budgeting, client coordination, documentation management, and risk identification.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, construction documents, and sequences of operation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and project collaboration tools.
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution to deliver commissioning and building performance projects.
• Assist with system startup, inspections, functional testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning reports, test procedures, deficiency logs, project records, and client deliverables.
• Build strong working relationships with owners, contractors, engineers, vendors, and project stakeholders while supporting effective communication.
• Identify, document, and resolve project issues while ensuring systems meet requirements, performance goals, and quality standards.
• Assist with schedule management, meeting coordination, proposal support, change management, risk identification, and project tracking.
• Continuously develop knowledge of building systems, commissioning processes, project management practices, and standards.
