Job summary

GardenCore is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to lead a fast-paced lawn and garden products facility. You will oversee raw materials intake, processing, packaging, and production flow while driving safety and cost efficiency.

The role emphasizes analytics, staff leadership, and continuous improvement to support bottom-line results. Prior manufacturing leadership and familiarity with heavy equipment are highly valued in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years manufacturing management experience.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Intermediate MS Office skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in wood/pulp/mulch manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional leadership to staff, assessing performance, and directing all operational activities to ensure safety, product quality and consistency
• Ensuring workplace safety and adherence to company standards and safety programs
• Implementing process improvement methods to maintain non-stop production safely and profitably
• Negotiating cost with raw material suppliers and scheduling deliveries to meet production schedules
• Accountability for inventory management, labor and cost controls
