Job summary

GardenCore seeks an Assistant Site Manager to lead a fast-paced lawn and garden manufacturing facility. You will oversee input, processing and packaging of mulch and soils, directing operations to meet safety, quality and cost targets.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years manufacturing management, strong analytical and communication skills, and preferably a 2-4 year or bachelor’s degree. Prior mulch manufacturing and heavy equipment experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years manufacturing management experience.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in wood/pulp/mulch manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to staff and oversee safety, quality and production flow.
• Ensure safety compliance and enforce company standards and programs.
• Implement process improvements to maintain non-stop production safely and profitably.
• Negotiate raw material costs and schedule deliveries to meet production plans.
• Oversee inventory, labor and cost controls.
