Job summary

GardenCore is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to lead people toward a common goal in a fast-paced lawn and garden products manufacturing facility. You will oversee raw materials intake, production flow, safety, and cost controls while driving performance to deliver bottom-line results.

The role requires manufacturing management experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• 2 or 4 year degree, and/or equivalent education/experience.
• 2+ years manufacturing management experience.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in wood/pulp/mulch manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to staff and direct operational activities to ensure safety, quality and productivity.
• Enforce safety standards and support development programs.
• Implement process improvements to maintain continuous, safe, profitable production.
• Negotiate raw material costs and schedule deliveries to meet production plans.
• Manage inventory, labor and cost controls.
