GardenCore is seeking an Assistant Site Manager and EH&S to lead a fast-paced lawn & garden products manufacturing facility in New Jersey. You will oversee raw materials intake, processing, packaging, safety, production flow, and cost control, with accountability for bottom-line results.

You will provide leadership to staff, enforce safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in a safe, profitable operation. This role requires 2+ years of management experience and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 2 or 4 year degree, and/or equivalent combination(s) of education, industry experience and training.
• 2+ years manufacturing management experience.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Intermediate MS Office skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in wood/pulp/mulch manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with heavy equipment.
• Regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Lifting, bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping and reaching.
• Able to work under extreme conditions such as hot or cold temperatures, noise, dust and dirt.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership to staff, assess performance, and direct operational activities to ensure safety, product quality and consistency.
• Ensure workplace safety through implementation and enforcement of company standards and safety programs.
• Implement process improvements to maintain non-stop production in a safe and profitable manner.
• Negotiate raw material costs and schedule deliveries to meet production plans.
• Oversee inventory management, labor and cost controls.
• Administer the plant’s Safety Program and OSHA documentation.
• Maintain safety records and prepare monthly reports.
• Assist with safety training and permits.
• Maintain and enforce safety manuals and policies.
• Track outbound and inbound materials; ensure regulatory compliance.
