Job summary

Kent Consumer Brands Americas, LLC is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager (Finance) to oversee daily operations at our Bolingbrook, IL facility. This salaried role reports to the Plant Manager and leads Production Supervisors to meet production goals safely and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities include coordinating production schedules, driving lean improvements, ensuring GMP/HACCP compliance, maintaining records, and supporting recruiting and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food science, engineering, business, or related field.
• At least 5 years in food or beverage manufacturing, preferably dry blending or powder-based production.
• Proven leadership and team management experience with Production Supervisors.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
• Proficient with ERP systems (Microsoft AX / D365) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all production processes against schedules.
• Lead Production and Sanitation Supervisors and teams; coach and develop.
• Ensure products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Implement lean manufacturing to cut waste and costs.
• Maintain production records and performance reports; support audits.
• Monitor raw material usage; coordinate with procurement.
• Plan plant shutdowns with maintenance.
• Ensure OSHA, FDA, GMP compliance.
• Stay informed on ops trends and technologies.
• Assist with recruiting and onboarding new staff.
• Identify training needs and deliver development.
