We have an immediate opening for an Assistant Plant Manager. This position will be a key member of our production management team with a broad range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for providing support of the daily execution of the production plan
2. Assist with inventory management including maintaining appropriate levels, resolving issues and ensure proper turns
3. Running production according to the production schedule including managing labor costs and increasing efficiency
4. Analyzing and problem solving current and potential operational issues including labor, equipment, shipping deadlines, quality, etc.
5. Work closely with maintenance staff on preventive maintenance and improvement maintenance projects
6. Direct supervision of shipping and receiving including maximum utilization and quality control as the last touch before the customer
7. Assist the Plant Manager in staffing, recruiting, and training for both 1st and 2nd shifts
8. Understand all the operations requirements of the Plant including software/data processing, packing, shipping, vendors, and other aspects of the Plant
9. Direct interaction with all AMC staff in achieving the Plant’s goals of growth and profitability within the parameters assigned
10. All other tasks and assignments that may be developed with this new position

4. Quality focused within the constraints of machinery, inventory, and team members
5. Meet all the goals and objectives as assigned in a timely efficient manner
6. Mechanical aptitude
7. Experience in leadership and communication skills in a manufacturing environment
8. Ability to measure safety, quality, and productivity
9. College degree preferred but not required
