Job Responsibilities:
- Factory Construction & Setup – Oversee the end-to-end factory setup process, working closely with engineering, contractors, and suppliers to ensure a smooth transition from construction to production.
- Risk Management & Compliance – Identify potential risks, regulatory requirements, and compliance challenges in the U.S. manufacturing environment to prevent operational setbacks.
- Manufacturing Readiness & Equipment Planning – Support equipment selection, installation, and layout optimization to align with production efficiency and industry best practices.
- Operational Strategy & Process Optimization – Develop production workflows, material flow logistics, and safety protocols to ensure factory operations align with lean manufacturing principles.
- Cross-functional Coordination & Leadership – Act as the right-hand person to the Plant Manager, facilitating communication between corporate teams in China and U.S. operations, and ensuring smooth project execution.
Job Requirements:
- Education & Experience – Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; 10+ years of experience in plant construction, factory setup, or manufacturing operations.
- U.S. Factory Regulations & Compliance – Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, local labor laws, and permitting processes to ensure compliance during factory setup and operations.
- Cross-Cultural & Project Management Skills – Ability to bridge the gap between Chinese headquarters and U.S. teams, with strong communication and leadership skills.
- Hands-on Problem Solving – Proven ability to identify operational risks, troubleshoot factory setup challenges, and optimize production processes.
