APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Greenfield, IN looking to add an Assistant Plant Manager to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to oversee daily production goals and utilize available resources to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality. Could this be your next career move?

What your day will look like:

• Review production, quality control, and maintenance processes to identify causes of nonconformity with product specifications and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver training programs for managers, supervisors, foremen, and laborers.
• Provide material take-offs and scheduling support for future projects.
• Coordinate the delivery of materials to support production needs.
• Lead weekly safety and quality meetings.
• Identify cost-cutting opportunities in overtime, labor, overhead, and materials.
• Drive continuous process improvements.
• Ensure quality standards align with PCI and the Quality Standards Manual.
• Work to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all production lines.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Scheduling, and Purchasing to ensure project timelines are met.
• Assist in developing and implementing production improvements.
• Lead daily team meetings to discuss safety, goals, and logistics to support production.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or 8 years of proven experience in operations management.
• Required certifications: ACI Level 1, PCI Levels 1 & 2.
• Experience in product development and architecture is a plus.
• Background in managing capital budgets is a plus.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing and engineering principles.
• Skilled in coordinating and overseeing multiple departments or teams of 50+ employees.
