Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
- Accurately measure and mix ingredients according to established recipes.
- Operate baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofing cabinets.
- Help decorate cakes, tarts, and plated desserts in line with presentation standards.
- Follow recipes and guidelines set by the Pastry Chef to ensure consistency.
- Maintain high standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
- Perform quality checks throughout and after the preparation process.
- Keep the pastry station clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Uphold hygiene and food‑safety standards at all times.
- Wash and sanitize tools, equipment, and work surfaces regularly.
- Assist with inventory checks and restocking of pastry ingredients.
- Notify the Pastry Chef or purchasing team of low stock or spoiled items.
- Help receive and properly store deliveries.
- Work efficiently to meet production deadlines, particularly during peak service times.
- Assist with mise en place to ensure readiness for daily service and events.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate dessert service with meal courses.
- Support the Pastry Chef in training junior team members or interns.
- Take responsibility for managing the pastry station in the Pastry Chef’s absence.
- Stay informed about current pastry trends, techniques, and seasonal updates.
- Learn new recipes and refine baking skills under the guidance of the Pastry Chef.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pastry arts.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to enjoy working with members, guests, and colleagues in a friendly manner.
- Proven ability to motivate and lead team members.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing conditions, and perform well under pressure.
- High level of personal accountability and strong work ethic.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to stay organized and manage time effectively.
Education
High school diploma or GED required; an associate’s degree in Baking and Pastry Arts or equivalent relevant work experience is preferred.
Approximate Schedule and Hours
Weekdays, weekends, and holidays; schedule is flexible as business dictates.

Appearance and Grooming Standards
Candidates should present a polished, conservative appearance: natural hair and nail color, minimal jewelry, closed‑toe professional shoes, and no visible tattoos or off‑brand logos. Management reserves the right to uphold grooming and uniform standards that align with the club’s expectations.
Licenses and Certifications
Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Regularly required to stand and move around for the majority of the shift. Duties may be performed inside or outside, with exposure to various weather conditions. Employee may need to push, pull, bend, lift, and/or move up to 50 pounds and drive a golf cart to transport between areas of the property.
