Colonial Chevrolet of Acton at 171 Great Road, Acton, MA is seeking an Assistant Parts Manager to aid in day-to-day parts department operations. This hands-on role requires experience with the parts counter, order management, and organized inventory control.

You will support the Parts Manager, price and order parts for technicians and customers, coordinate with service staff, and help manage aging stock and returns while growing wholesale parts sales.

Competenze

• Automotive parts experience and confidence using electronic parts catalogs and inventory systems.
• Clear communication with customers, technicians, service advisors, and vendors.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Dealership or wholesale parts experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Support the Parts Manager with daily operations, workflow, and training for parts department staff.
• Look up, price, and order the right parts for service technicians, the body shop, retail customers, and wholesale accounts.
• Coordinate with service advisors and technicians to prioritize orders, communicate availability, and keep repairs moving.
• Track special orders and backorders, follow up with vendors, and keep customers and internal teams updated.
• Oversee receiving, stocking, and cycle counts. Investigate inventory discrepancies and help manage aging stock.
• Process returns, core credits, and warranty parts. Follow up on outstanding vendor credits.
• Help grow wholesale parts sales by building relationships with local repair shops and following through on orders and quotes.
• Assist with tracking department sales, gross profit, and inventory performance. Lead daily operations when the Parts Manager is away.
