Job summary

Aims Community College is seeking a part-time Assistant Paramedic Instructor to support the lead instructor in developing skills for recruits to pass the National Registry.

The position requires Colorado Paramedic certification, with a preference for an Associate’s Degree and a post-secondary vocational credential in Paramedic. Duties include supervising training evolutions and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Colorado Paramedic certification is required.
• Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred.
• Shall hold or qualify for a post-secondary vocational credential in Paramedic issued by Aims Community College CTE Office.

Responsibilities

• Instruct small group sessions to demonstrate skills and coach student performance.
• Follow college procedures for student evaluation and grading.
• Evaluate student performance and document skill proficiencies.
• Present topic didactic instruction as needed.
• Assist with set up and tear down training evolutions/stations.
• Assist the primary instructor with compliance with outside agency regulations.

Education

Colorado Paramedic certification

Associate’s Degree preferred
