Job summary

Associates In Emergency Care LLC seeks a Part-time Paramedic Instructor to deliver didactic and skills-based coursework at locations in Northern Virginia, Hampton, and Virginia Beach.

The instructor plans and delivers engaging classroom and lab sessions, supervises psychomotor skills, and provides constructive feedback to learners. Accurate records and test-prep support are essential.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Paramedic certification/licensure (state and/or National Registry) with strong EMS field experience.
• Teaching, training, or precepting experience in EMS or related adult education settings.
• Thorough knowledge of paramedic scope, clinical guidelines, and EMS protocols.
• Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills for diverse learners and colleagues.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills with materials and records management.
• Proficiency with educational technology, presentation tools and LMS.
• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor’s in EMS/healthcare/education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging didactic and skills-based paramedic coursework aligned with standards.
• Teach classroom and lab sessions, demonstrate and supervise psychomotor skills.
• Provide constructive feedback to learners and assess performance through exams and skill checks.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support test preparation for certification/licensure.
• Collaborate with faculty and program leadership to ensure current, compliant content.
