Job summary

Smurfit Westrock's Delaware Water Gap mill seeks an Assistant Paper Machine Superintendent to support operations, oversee the Shift Supervisors, and drive safety, quality, and productivity. You will collaborate with maintenance and production to sustain best-in-class performance.

The role requires a four-year degree in Paper Science or Chemical Engineering and 3–10 years in manufacturing, with Six Sigma familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Paper Science or Chemical Engineering.
• 3–10 years manufacturing operations experience.
• Strong supervisory skills and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor four Shift Supervisors and provide vacation relief.
• Promote safety and lead training development.
• Coordinate production and maintenance activities to keep KPIs.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Six Sigma concepts.
