Department: Northwestern Innovation Institute, Kellogg School of Management

The Kellogg School of Management in partnership with the Northwestern Innovation Institute is seeking to fill a full-time faculty position which is open to be part of any Kellogg department at the rank of Assistant Professor or untenured Associate Professor for academic year 2027-2028. To fill this position we are seeking a scholar studying how AI reshapes innovation, knowledge production, scientific discovery, organizational decision-making, or networks. The position is responsible for conducting advanced research in chosen areas of expertise and interest; supervising doctoral candidates; teaching basic and advanced courses in their department at the Master's and/or Doctoral Degree level; contributing to the research and teaching of other faculty members.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in relevant fields in hand or expected by employment start date. Selection criteria include research record, adaptability, teaching ability, and recommendations.

The expected base pay range for this position at the rank of Assistant Professor is $218,000–$240,000. The expected base pay range for this position at the rank of Associate Professor is $260,000–$280,000. This base pay range is for a nine-month academic appointment, does not include summer salary, and is subject to negotiation. Research discretionary funding will also be provided. Summer salary, including from sponsored projects, may also be available.

The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree; training; field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
