Job description

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine seeks a fellowship-trained Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon to join its growing National Capital Region (NCR) practice. This full-time faculty position is available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will provide the full spectrum of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with the opportunity to perform microvascular head and neck reconstruction and build a thriving cosmetic facial plastic surgery practice in one of the nation's most dynamic markets. The position includes an established referral base, dedicated operative (ASC and Hospital) and office-based procedural opportunities, and the resources of the Johns Hopkins Health System.

The surgeon will join a collaborative team of 10 fellowship-trained otolaryngology faculty and participate in the education of Johns Hopkins residents and fellows. Robust opportunities exist for clinical and translational research through the extensive academic resources of Johns Hopkins.

In addition to opportunities at Johns Hopkins Hospital, the NCR practice spans Bethesda, Maryland; Washington, DC; and Arlington, Virginia, serving a large and diverse patient population. The region offers an exceptional quality of life with nationally ranked schools, vibrant cultural attractions, outstanding dining, and easy access to outdoor recreation.

The anticipated total compensation range is $250k-$650k+, depending on academic rank, experience, clinical effort, and productivity.

Qualified applicants should be board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and fellowship trained in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. A commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and scholarship is expected.
