Description

Position Summary: This position assists and supports the Office Manager in overseeing operations to promote growth within Midwest Eye Consultants. The assistant office manager must demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize, plan, and supervise primary care functions.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Manage the doctor’s schedule to optimize patient care, demonstrating commitment to Standards of Care and Vision for Life principles, and fostering a caring environment.
  • Financial Management: Assist in monitoring billing, deposits, reporting, and accounts receivable to ensure efficiency and profitability.
  • Personnel Management: Ensure effective hiring, training, supervision, and compliance with procedures and regulations.
  • Product Management: Manage inventory, create a positive brand image through visual merchandising, and support quality control processes.
  • Risk Management: Ensure compliance with confidentiality policies and regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA.
  • Business Development: Identify growth opportunities, recommend strategies, and participate in community involvement.
  • Property & Supply Management: Maintain a safe, organized environment and ensure stock levels of supplies and medications.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous management experience is preferred.
  • Experience in optometry is a plus.
