Job summary

Good Samaritan Medical Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) to coordinate clinical activities within the department and work with the health care team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

The role supervises staff, supports house supervision duties, and partners with leadership to drive excellence in patient care. Days shift, full-time position with competitive benefits and sign-on available.

Qualifications

• RN clinical leadership experience or strong clinical background in acute care.
• Current Florida RN license (BSN preferred).
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications required or in progress.
• Basic EKG training completed.
• Certifications specific to areas of expertise as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical activities within the department using critical thinking.
• Supervise the care rendered by department staff.
• Share house supervision duties as assigned.

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who, using critical thinking skills, coordinates the clinical activities within the Department and collaborates with other members of the health care team. She/he directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by all department staff members. She/he assumes house supervision duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida
• BSN preferred
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart or equivalent)
• ACLS certification (American Heart or equivalent)
• Successful completion of Basic EKG course
• Certifications specific to areas of expertise

Minimum Experience

• 2-3 years RN experience in clinical area
