Job summary

McLaren Greater Lansing seeks an experienced nurse leader to assist the Manager of Patient Care Services in overseeing multiple patient care units. This role ensures 24-hour accountability for quality patient care and high patient satisfaction.

You will collaborate with physicians and the health care team, manage staffing and budgeting, mentor staff, and lead quality improvement initiatives in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification as Healthcare Provider or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with establishing standards of performance, quality improvement and care delivery models and monitor their effectiveness.
• Assist with department staffing, scheduling and productivity benchmarks.
• Support personnel management and foster high performance through collaboration and mentorship.
• Coordinate policies, procedures, and regulations and communicate them to staff.
• Analyze, forecast and report department activities to guide decisions.
• Assist with budget development and cost control measures.
• Maintain clear communication channels and promote patient satisfaction across units.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health care team members.
• Promote staff development and participation in committee activities.
