Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center in the Dallas area seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to lead a care unit and partner with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellence in clinical quality, safety, and service. The ANM will function as staff nurse or relief charge on the assigned unit and assist the Nurse Manager in staffing, patient flow, and the patient experience.

The role requires a BSN, Texas nursing license, BLS, and a national certification in the specialty area or plans to obtain

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas.
• National certification in specialty area, or will obtain within one year or minimal amount of time that requirements can be met.
• 3 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Nurse Manager in achieving excellence in clinical quality, safety, and service.
• Function as a staff nurse and/or relief charge nurse on the assigned unit as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.

Job Purpose

• In this highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding nursing position, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients. The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) role is to assist the Nurse Manager in achieving an environment of excellence in clinical quality, safety, and service. This role functions as a staff nurse and/or relief charge nurse as needed on his/her assigned unit and assumes a nursing leadership role as delegated by the Nurse Manager.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, American Heart Association
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas
• National certification in specialty area, or will obtain within one year or minimal amount of time that requirements can be met

Work Experience:

• 3 years of nursing experience
