Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX, seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to assist the Nurse Manager in achieving excellence in clinical quality, safety, and service. This role acts as a staff nurse and relief charge as needed on the assigned unit.

The ANM must hold a BSN, BLS, and current Texas nursing license, with national certification in a specialty or plan to obtain within one year; minimum of 3 years of nursing experience is required.

Job Purpose

• In this highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding nursing position, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients. The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) role is to assist the Nurse Manager in achieving an environment of excellence in clinical quality, safety, and service. This role functions as a staff nurse and/or relief charge nurse as needed on his/her assigned unit and assumes a nursing leadership role as delegated by the Nurse Manager.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, American Heart Association
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas
• National certification in specialty area, or will obtain within one year or minimal amount of time that requirements can be met

Work Experience:

• 3 years of nursing experience
