Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Nurse Manager in achieving clinical excellence. This 40-hour-per-week role works on a 5-day schedule and may serve as staff nurse or relief charge nurse on the assigned unit, stepping into leadership as delegated.

The position requires a BSN, BLS, Texas nursing license and national certification in a specialty area (or plan to obtain within a year), plus at least 3 years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Licenses and/or Certifications: BLS Certification, Texas license to practice professional nursing, national certification in specialty area (or will obtain within one year).
• Work Experience: 3 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) role is to assist the Nurse Manager in achieving an environment of excellence in clinical quality, safety, and service. This role functions as a staff nurse and/or relief charge nurse as needed on his/her assigned unit and assumes a nursing leadership role as delegated by the Nurse Manager.

Job Requirements

• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Licenses and/or Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, American Heart Association Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas National certification in specialty area, or will obtain within one year or minimal amount of time that requirements can be met
