HSHS Medical Group is seeking an Assistant Manager-Nursing for St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. The role focuses on leadership of the General OR, supervising staff, and developing efficient workflows for the department.

The position is an Evening Shift (3pm–11pm), 40 hours weekly, with every 5th weekend rotation. Requires RN licensure with BSN preferred; 2 years RN acute care and 2 years leadership experience are desirable. BLS required; ACLS may be needed.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and licensure in state of practice is required.
• 2 years staff nurse (RN) in acute setting required.
• 2 years in charge nurse/lead nurse or related role preferred.
• Licensed RN in state of practice is required; BLS required; ACLS may be required.

Under the direction of Nursing leadership, the Assistant Manager-Nursing assists in the oversight of functional area(s) of the unit and/or department including: patient care; hiring; transferring; performance improvement; assigning duties; and rewards. Develops general workflows for department/unit and prepares timely operational reports. Develops and administers proper protocols for department and/or unit. Assists in the direct supervision of unit and staff. Is a champion for patient care. Collaborates with other care team providers to assure team provides excellence in patient care. Position Specifics: Department: General OR Core Function: Leadership Schedule: Evening Shift; 3pm to 11pm; Monday - Friday; every 5th weekend rotation on days from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm.
