HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL seeks an Assistant Manager-Nursing to assist in the oversight of general OR units. The role involves patient care leadership, staff supervision, hiring, and performance improvement while ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, BSN preferred, and at least 2 years of staff nurse experience with leadership exposure. Evening shift and rotating weekends are included, with comprehensive benefits and ongoing education

• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Bachelor’s of science in nursing is preferred.
• 2 years staff nurse (RN) in an acute setting is required.
• 2 years experience in a charge nurse, lead nurse, or related position is preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• ACLS may be required where necessary.

Pay Range:$41.58 - $62.37A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.Under the direction of Nursing leadership, the Assistant Manager-Nursing assists in the oversight of functional area(s) of the unit and/or department including: patient care; hiring; transferring; performance improvement; assigning duties; and rewards. Develops general workflows for department/unit and prepares timely operational reports. Develops and administers proper protocols for department and/or unit. Assists in the direct supervision of unit and staff. Is a champion for patient care.
