The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) works in partnership with the nurse manager to support and lead the daily operations of the units. The ANM is expected to adhere to system and department compliance policies and any applicable laws and regulations.

The ANM is expected to assume accountability and responsibility for translating the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the medical center/hospital and the nursing service into effective action under the guidance of the Nurse Manager.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience with the most appropriate patient population.
• Demonstrated leadership and collaboration with a Nurse Manager and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to translate hospital philosophy and policies into actionable plans.

Aufgaben

• Administers direct nursing care and serves as a clinical resource and role model of clinical excellence.
• Leads staffing plans and collaborates to ensure patient flow and unit operations.
• Manages the patient care environment with the Nurse Manager until resolution.
• Oversees budgeting and financial stewardship for the unit in line with organizational goals.
• Facilitates staff education and maintains a learning environment in partnership with educators.
• Evaluates clinical processes and workflows for efficiency and implements improvements.
• Supervises nursing staff on weekends and off shifts in collaboration with the supervisor.
• Evaluates clinical documentation for completion and accuracy.
