Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse for the correctional health program. You will plan, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities that impact patient care, and work with the nurse manager to support addiction medicine and behavioral health unit operations.

Requirements include a BSN, current Ohio RN licensure, BLS certification (or obtain within 90 days), and at least 3 years of RN experience. EPIC and MS Office familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current American Heart Association BLS for healthcare providers certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• At least 3 years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication and delegation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate all unit activities impacting patient care delivery.
• Holds self and staff accountable for identification, evaluation, documentation, and intervention of patients' needs to ensure quality patient care.
• Support addiction medicine and behavioral health unit operations with nurse manager and manager of behavioral health.
• Uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
