About This Role

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for the Night Shift in the Med-Surg Oncology Unit at Adventist Healthcare is responsible for ensuring quality clinical services, managing departmental operations, and collaborating with healthcare teams to provide optimal patient care.

Highlights

• Pay: $41 - $61/hour
• Location: Rockville, MD
• Facility: Shady Grove Medical Center
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift (7pm-7am)

What You'll Do

• Assure the delivery of quality department/clinical services in accordance with established standards.
• Assist the Manager with overall operations, including department goals and budget management.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members for optimum patient care.
• Promote cohesive work teams by supporting intra- and inter-disciplinary teamwork.
• Participate in the development of evidence-based standards of care.
• Report significant events affecting patient-centered care in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate positive customer service and foster employee relations.
• Execute all other duties as required.

Requirements

• Education:
  • Degree in nursing (Associate, Diploma, or Baccalaureate)
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred
• Experience:
  • 2+ years work experience preferred in department-specific area
  • 1 year supervisory experience preferred
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Current Maryland State nursing license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
  • Certification in department-specific area within the first year of the position or 1 year after eligibility
