Job summary

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager for the Intensive Care Unit Medical 4NW. This full-time role supports patient care leadership, partners with the nurse manager to align unit operations with hospital goals, and helps guide RNs and nursing assistants through shifts. Evening shift, 40 hours per week, 2:00 p.m.

– 12:00 midnight, with variable days. Requires BSN, 2 years of critical care, BLS, ACLS, and Michigan RN licensure; leadership experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) Required.
• Two years of clinical experience (critical care) Required.
• Participation in leadership activities (Unit, hospital, or system Shared Governance meetings, Precepting, Charge nurse role) Preferred.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required.

About This Unit

CCU is responsible for treating patients with a full range of cardiac, renal, pulmonary, and endocrine disorders as well as infectious diseases and surgical patients. We also provide CRRT and offer Hypothermia treatments to post-cardiac arrest patients.

All team members participate in comprehensive hospital, nursing, and unit-specific orientations designed to support a successful transition into the role. Unit-specific competencies and core skills are completed during the orientation process to ensure confidence and clinical excellence.

Our interdisciplinary team includes Registered Nurses (RNs) and Nursing Assistants (NAs) who work collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient care. Teamwork, communication, and mutual support are the foundation of our unit culture and are essential to maintaining a positive and cohesive work environment.
