Job summary

University of South Carolina Beaufort ( USCB ) is seeking an Assistant Network Administrator to support design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, high-performing network systems across campuses. You will work with routing, switching, wireless and telephony, while contributing to strategic IT initiatives and ensuring robust connectivity for academic and administrative operations.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in IT or related field and at least 1 year of network support

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience.
• Knowledge of network hardware and software – Aruba/Cisco, Windows Server 2016 or later, and Linux.
• Knowledge of DNS, Active Directory, and enterprise database (e.g. SQL Server).

Responsibilities

• Supports and assists with the strategic design of enterprise network architecture to advance the university’s mission and long-term technology vision.
• Configures and installs network hardware and software to meet requirements.
• Prepares documentation, including manuals and training.
• Other duties as assigned.
