Job summary

Dollar Tree is hiring a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Crandall, TX. You will work with the Store Manager to lead a team, focus on merchandising, and manage freight flow and stock needs. You will ensure clean, safe operations and friendly customer interactions while adhering to company policies.

The role involves opening/closing duties, asset protection, and executing corporate directives. The position offers a full-time schedule with opportunities for growth within a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent standing and walking.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash areas.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment and professional customer interactions.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise needs, including cold items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective and merchandise clips/panels.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
