Job summary

Dollar Tree Store in Crandall, Texas is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our leadership team. You will support the Store Manager in guiding a dynamic group of associates and delivering positive experiences to our communities.

Responsibilities include merchandising, processing freight, opening/closing duties, asset protection, and maintaining clean, well-stocked floors while upholding safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical duties with or without accommodation.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards
• Process directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Other duties as assigned
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Manage freight flow in line with productivity standards
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan, merchandize, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners
