Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Texas to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team. You will focus on merchandising, processing freight, and daily store operations to deliver a positive customer experience.

The role requires strong communication, interpersonal and written skills, and previous retail/leadership experience is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process freight receipts and manage freight flow per productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated, per productivity standards.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales‑effective items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
