Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine, seeks a part-time Assistant Lacrosse Coach to train and develop student-athletes for successful participation. You will teach fundamental lacrosse skills, craft practice plans, and promote a respectful, inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

  • High school or college lacrosse experience preferred.
  • CHRC certification from Maine Dept. of Education required / background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel on campus locations.

Job description

The Assistant Lacrosse Coach is responsible for training and developing student-athletes for successful participation in lacrosse. This involves instructing players in fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary to achieve individual and team success.The coach promotes a strong student-centered approach that exemplifies a respectful, inclusive, and dynamic environment. This involves fostering resilience, respect, inclusivity, and a sense of belonging among athletes. Adolescents under their guidance are empowered with agency, supported within a structured framework, and mentored for growth and development.This is a part-time, seasonal position averaging 10-15 hours per week from early April to late May. Practices are Monday through Friday (approximately 90 minutes) with occasional Saturday home and away games.
