Job summary

The St. Cloud VA Health Care System seeks an Assistant Medical Director of Primary and Specialty Medicine to oversee clinical and administrative operations across the PSM service line in Minnesota’s CBOC locations including Alexandria, Montevideo, and Brainerd.

A recruitment/relocation incentive is available for highly qualified candidates. The role requires medical licensure, board eligibility or certification, and leadership experience in internal medicine/primary care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an approved medical school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency in an approved core specialty with board eligibility or certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct management and oversight of clinical and administrative operations within the PSM service line.
• Supervise physicians and mid-level providers across the VA system and CBOCs.
• Coordinate work schedules and monitor clinical performance measures.
• Partner with facility leaders to optimize resources and care delivery models.
• Engage in administrative, quality assurance, and committee activities as needed.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts for PSM staff.
