Job summary

The St. Cloud VA Health Care System in Minnesota seeks an Assistant Medical Director of Specialty Clinics in St. Cloud, MN.

This department-level leadership role mentors staff and directs clinical and administrative operations within the Primary and Specialty Medicine service line to deliver patient-centered care. The incumbent leads supervision of physicians and mid-level providers across the Health Care System and CBOCs, coordinates schedules, and drives quality performance.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship requirement for appointment.
• Medical degree (MD/DO) from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Residency training in an accredited core specialty.
• Board certification/eligibility preferred for faculty status.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee direct management of clinical and administrative operations within the Primary and Specialty Medicine service line.
• Supervise physicians and mid-level providers at the Health Care System and CBOCs.
• Coordinate work schedules and monitor clinical performance measures.
• Collaborate with leaders to optimize resource use in care delivery.
• Participate in meetings or committees as required.
