Job summary

The St. Cloud VA Health Care System seeks an Assistant Medical Director of Primary and Specialty Medicine to oversee clinical and administrative operations across the PSM service line at St. Cloud and affiliated CBOCs in Minnesota.

The role includes direct supervision of physicians and mid-level providers, coordination of schedules, and ensuring high-quality patient-centered care. Recruitment/relocation incentives and EDRP may be available to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or eligible per VA policy
• MD or DO degree
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US
• Residency training approved by VA, or equivalent post-training experience
• Board eligibility/ certification in primary care related field (Internal Medicine/Family Medicine)
• Excellent English communication skills
• Ability to travel between CBOCs in MN

Responsibilities

• Direct management and oversight of clinical and administrative operations within the Primary and Specialty Medicine service line
• Supervision of physicians and mid-level providers across the Health Care System and CBOCs
• Coordinate work schedules and monitor clinical performance measures
• Collaborate with facility leadership to optimize resources and care delivery
• Participate in administrative, quality assurance and committee work
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff development
