Job summary

VA Minneapolis Health Care System seeks an experienced physician leader to serve as Medical Director for its network of 13 CBOCs across Minnesota and western Wisconsin. You will provide executive oversight of clinical operations, staffing, and quality while maintaining a manageable primary care panel.

This role involves partnering with service lines, clinic directors, and administrative staff to ensure safe, high-quality, and accessible care for Veterans, with opportunities for travel to sites

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Completed residency in an approved core specialty.
• Board certification or eligibility for position.
• US citizenship or eligibility under VA policy.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level oversight of clinical operations, staffing, and quality across all CBOC sites.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, and develop CBOC clinic medical directors and providers.
• Monitor and drive performance on quality, access, and patient satisfaction measures.
• Travel to CBOC sites to provide oversight and direct patient care.
