Your Impact

The Assistant Manager of Customer Marketing will work with Customer Marketing leadership to develop omni-channel customer activation and engagement strategies through data-driven decisions that enable personalized customer experiences for DIY and Pro customer segments. This role involves leveraging customer insights, understanding the competitive landscape, and collaborating within cross-functional teams. Reporting to the Director of Customer Marketing, the position serves as a subject matter expert focused on driving personalization and Next Best Actions across paid and owned channels through data and technology-enabled marketing solutions such as signals, triggers, recommendation engines, and AI/ML models. The candidate should effectively communicate work to key stakeholders and have experience working in agile teams across Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, and Omnichannel Customer Journeys.

What You Will Do
  • Partner with Customer Marketing leadership to execute campaigns and test & learn optimizations within cross-functional teams focused on DIY or Pro customers, functioning independently as needed.
  • Analyze and interpret data to develop clear, actionable plans for the assigned customer segment, aiming to increase sales and margins through omni-channel journeys.
  • Support the refinement of segment strategies and plans to increase engagement, including developing briefs and serving as an integrator across marketing and broader organizations.
  • Leverage customer data, business insights, brand priorities, and sales/margin goals to operationalize omni-channel journeys across owned channels (Email, Push, App Inbox, SMS, WhatsApp, Lowes.com) and paid channels in partnership with media teams and platforms like Google, Meta, Epsilon Digital, etc.
  • Support measurement of KPIs, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance marketing effectiveness.
  • Apply knowledge of modern marketing solutions, including data and tech-enabled personalization, during campaign planning.
  • Operate comfortably in a rapid test & learn environment and drive organizational change through action.
  • Act as a customer champion and communicate segmentation strategies to gain alignment across teams.
  • Establish strong relationships with cross-functional peers.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Digital, E-Commerce, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of data-driven marketing experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in writing strategic plans and working cross-functionally.
  • 1-2 years of experience in delivering business performance goals through iterative testing and learning.
Preferred Skills/Education
  • 1-2 years of experience leading customer marketing at a retailer.
