The role oversees emergency appraisals, countermeasures, and containment, guiding a engineering team (5–10 reports) toward improved supplier OEE and capacity, while reporting risks to manufacturing leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related).
• 8+ years of automotive manufacturing engineering and OEM supplier quality/delivery experience.
• In-depth expertise across stamping, welding, casting, molding, or electronic assembly processes.
• Proven leadership, crisis management, and executive communication capabilities.
• Willingness to travel on short notice (up to 33%).

Responsibilities

• Lead emergency situation appraisals and root cause countermeasures for critical supplier delivery bottlenecks.
• Direct immediate short-term containment and permanent process recovery plans at OEM supplier facilities.
• Supervise a high-performing engineering team (5-10 direct reports) driving supplier operational stability.
• Escalate supply chain risks and recovery roadmaps to executive manufacturing management.
• Partner with supplier executive leadership to optimize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and capacity.
