J.Crew Group (JCG) is hiring an Assistant Manager to support profitable operations and foster loyalty through genuine connections with customers and the brand. You will coach team members, partner with leadership, and step in on tasks to drive the business forward while managing floor coverage.

As a leader, you’ll guide associates, enhance product knowledge through fit sessions, and plan local events that boost traffic and sales while aligning with company values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in specialty retail.
• Excellent communication and confident interaction with customers.
• Ability to bend, reach, lift at least 40 pounds and move around the store.

Responsibilities

• Be the role model for creating personalized connections with customers that drive loyalty and excitement for the brand.
• Observe associate performance on the selling floor and assist to make a connection or sale.
• Lead fit sessions that enhance product knowledge and fuel a style obsession.
• Help associates improve customer interactions with specific actions.
• Ensure the team stays on track to meet and exceed goals and expectations.
• Own the selling floor and ensure proper staffing at all times.
• Be ready to step in for another manager as needed.
• Plan and execute local events to drive traffic and sales.
